8 Steps of Discipleship

1. Be KIND to people.

Use everyday relationships to point people toward God.
“Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.” Proverbs 16:24

2. Share your STORY.

You don’t have to have great words, just tell people what Jesus has done for you.
"The Samaritan woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, 'Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?' So the people came streaming from the village to see him." John 4:28-30

3. INVITE people to church.

When you invite your friends, we promise we won’t be weird! We will welcome them and present the gospel clearly.
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" Matthew 28:19
"I was glad when they said to me, Let us go to the house of the Lord!" Psalm 122:1

4. ATTEND weekly.

Regular church attendance is crucial to becoming a fully devoted follower of Christ.
"Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near." Hebrews 10:25

5. SERVE consistently.

God is giving you an opportunity to be a part of something that He is doing. We want to help you find your calling.
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace." 1 Peter 4:10

6. Be in COMMUNITY.

We are better together. True life change happens in community with other believers.
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42-47

7. GIVE generously.

Don't just give—we want you to love our ministry so much that you feel called to fund it. God loves a cheerful giver.
"The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

8. Make SPIRITUAL DECISIONS

Salvation, water baptism, and developing daily prayer and Bible reading time.
"And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15
”I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2
